There’s all sorts of training theories out there for building muscle and strength. Some of these include High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Periodization, 5X5, German Volume Training (10X10), Max-OT…I can go on but what’s the point?
The point is that there is one that you may not have heard of. It’s called “Lactic Acid Training” and it’s used by athletes who are looking to burn fat while gaining muscle and endurance. Basically, it involves pushing your body to its limit using resistance training.
Sounds simple enough, right? Sure. But what’s really interesting is how our bodies respond to this type of training. We all know that we get out what we put into our workout. But what if we could trigger our bodies to give us a boost above and beyond what we would normally get from our workout? Well that’s exactly what lactic acid training is designed to do.
So how does it work?
